Make some text, highlight the text, and use the link button to create a link. This keeps kinja from thinking that it needs to create a thumbnail for the link you’ve just pasted.

Example .

That didn’t work either earlier... For some reason it just entered the text with the link in the text, and does the same spinning.

I think he is trying to get it to generate the pop up like things that happen when attaching images or videos or like the CL ad box things that kinja used to generate. i e:

Yeah, these are usually the links that get kinja’d though. I’ve not seen a text link kinja’d.

Autotrader links never work for me, so I just hyperlink them. Kijiji is fine, but autotrader hates Kinja.
